That is the easier method anyway. Not a workaround. Never heard of that message.Workaround is to pull the memory card from the Phantom and use a card reader.
I too am getting the same "Power surge on the USB port" problem the moment the USB from the P4P is connected to the PC, irrespective of USB 3.0 or 2.0.When I plug in the USB cable from my P4P V2 into my HP PC USB 3.O port I get a power surge message. It works fine when plugged into my Dell laptop. HP is newer and faster so I would like to solve this. Workaround is to pull the memory card from the Phantom and use a card reader. Any ideas?
