When I plug in the USB cable from my P4P V2 into my HP PC USB 3.O port I get a power surge message. It works fine when plugged into my Dell laptop. HP is newer and faster so I would like to solve this. Workaround is to pull the memory card from the Phantom and use a card reader. Any ideas?

That is the easier method anyway. Not a workaround. Never heard of that message.

I too am getting the same "Power surge on the USB port" problem the moment the USB from the P4P is connected to the PC, irrespective of USB 3.0 or 2.0.

Appreciate urgent assistance from anyone. Thanks
