P4P Battery single flash by button

Does anyone know what it means when a P4P battery (orig equip) has the button lit with just the line-light NEXT TO the button flashing at 3-flash increments?? I am getting this when I plug it into my Venom P4 Professional charger. The battery is at less than 50 percent. I plug it in, the charger initially goes into charge mode, then stops charging as this condition starts. What is this?

NOTE: I got this straightened out by pressing the charger's STORE button (I had tried the CYCLE button, but that didn't have an effect), but I would still like to know what it means.

Me too. There is the on/off button, and the four leds to the left. Which one is flashing? The first led to the left of the on/off button.

Correct. Although it really depends on which way you’re holding the battery. I just sat the lead next to the button
