P4 DJI Go4 connection problem

When I start my P4 , the G04 screen always opens on the Mavic 2 page, with a "disconnected message".
It occurs in every connection order, ie Controller, then Drone then Go, Go Controller drone etc .
I have to undo cable , re connect it etc several times before it recognises P4. The USB connection always seems a bit loose, so have a 3D printed support for it.The unit has only had about 5 hrs use,
Any thoughts !

Thanks, I have tried several cables with no difference using both USB and Micro inputs on controller.
I read that the full size USB socket is the best to use, I have a new 30cm on order so will see what happens, Thanks for input .

I tried it once, as I am sure I read somewhere that both inputs could be used , but the USB was preferable as it gave a better signal !

I never knew it would work. According to the manual, that port is for updating the RC.
