Im not certain that the S2 functions you described work for the Phantom 3.On the P3 remote, there are two switches:
Right switch is S1
Left switch is S2
S1 selection, from top to bottom:
P - GPS mode (GPS-stabilized flight)
A - Atti mode
F - Function / IOC mode (GPS-stabilized flight)
S2 selection, from top to bottom:
IOC off/disabled
C - Course Lock
H - Home Lock
To enter IOC mode, set the switches to the following:
S1 - Set to F
S2 - Set to either C or L
Note that for Home Lock to work, the aircraft should already be in the air, must have GPS lock, a valid Homepoint, and is flying at least 10 meters away from Homepoint.
I also think S2 is not used for CL and HL like it was in P2. I changed S1 to F mode and it didn't engage CL or HL even if I put S2 in 2nd or 3rd position. I can only engage IOC from the Dji go App screen.Im not certain that the S2 functions you described work for the Phantom 3.
Another member was saying the same thing a couple months ago, but they don't work like that on my P3S.
Later, I think I remember that same member came back and stated that
they worked that way for the P2....

Tom is the best. Lays it out so it is easy to see and figure out. I have learned a lot, including how to do this from TTT!This guy is the truth ^^. You should subscribe to his YouTube channel.
That sucks Nemo. You would think the dealer would know exactly how to do it. I love this forum too. Everyone is very helpful and we all get better for it.You guys need to know I even called a DJI dealer in Michigan and he thought the P3S DID NOT HAVE those functions...ugh
Sucks that they sell these things and don't even know their own product. I can confirm that 100% the PS3 does do this, I tested it this evening. You guys need to know I even called a DJI dealer in Michigan and he thought the P3S DID NOT HAVE those functions...ugh
