New Phantom 2 owner, DJI RC Assistant software needed

Hi folks, I am resurrecting a Phantom 2 (Zenmuze 2D camera mount) and I have it close to test fly state (slow flashing green LEDs, GPS working, Controller paired, motors run and controls respond).

I can't find the RC Assistant software for calibrating the Remote, can anyone point me to the software? I assume I need to do a cal of the Remote. (found Software on this site, yay)

I also can't get Win 10 PC to see the Phantom in Vision Assistant 3.8, Win 10 won't allow the DJI Win driver executable to run/install, any help is appreciated.

I may just try to hover today without calibrating anything, hopefully this isn't a terrible idea?

Woo Hoo, I loaded the software on a Win 7 laptop and I am able to talk to the transmitter and the Phantom, now I need to learn the basics of getting it to hover.

I think I need to adjust for CG for a larger battery (it fits but it sticks out a little further than the 5200mah batt. (any input from experienced pilots, please chime in)

Did you manage to find a download for the controller DJI Phantom RC Assistant. Like you I have resurrected my old Phantom 2 Vision Plus from many years ago. I had replaced the WIFI module a long time ago as lost FPV to the cellphone and that cost an arm and a leg to replace. Having had it turned off for the last 3-4 years same problem but came across a guy that had created an app to re flash the firmware in the WIFI module and that worked a treat, using the alligator type clips from Ali express rather than trying to solder to the pads. Anyway long story short I have the Assistant PS2 for the drone itself but lost RC2 over the years with various failed and dumped laptops.
Blowed if I can find a download for this piece of software to program up the controller so if you or anyone can point me in the right direction (politely) I would much appreciate it.

I found the RC Assistant on this site, it is a sticky at the top of the Phantom 2 Discussion Forum

• 2014-10-31 - Windows XP or above (32bit/64bit) - Phantom_2_Installer_v3.6.zip
• 2015-01-30 - Mac OS X 10.9 or above - Phantom_2_Installer_v3.8.dmg
• 2014-10-31 - Mac OS X 10.9 or above - Phantom_2_Installer_v3.6.dmg

I did have to use a Win 7 PC, as Win 10 was not liking the DJI Driver installer. I installed Drivers first, then Phantom Assistant 3.8 and then RC Assistant.
