Modification foward backwards stick Phantom 3

Can the right stick on the Phantom 3 be modified to stay in one place when move forward or backwards like the throttle (left) stick on a radio control airplane, on those radios the throttle stick is ratched not spring loaded, that would be so convinient to set what ever foward speed you want and just let go of the stick and concentrate on course and altitude. Just think about it, you push the stick to what ever speed you want, you let go and the stick stays there until you make a change you dont need to keep pressure on it while your flying. You have a free hand to make changes on the app and so on.

It's a neat idea, but it's not possible. Well, not without opening the remote controller and custom modding it.

Would it make it difficult to find center? Basically you can set way points and I like being able to let go of the stick and have it stop. You know what would work also is to have a thumb wheel set next to the stick to set the speed forward or back or beneath at C2
