Maxx VS Terminator. Long distance antenna shootout!

OK I have to ask about the signal you guys keep talking about... is this the transmitter signal or the video signal??? Because I just got my new cables in and I just tried it again and same as before... I keep losing video feed at about 2000 feet?? The transmission signal is good no issues there... I might just have to go to a small mountain and try it up there. Because im not getting past 2300 or so feet!!!!... Is there a way to boost the video signal?? Is there a setting that im missing?? Im at a loss as to what to do??? I so want these terminators to work!!!

I did 8 miles just for fun 2 days ago(too windy for a long run) w/
Maxxrange boosted and this crane boom was DIRECTLY in my flight path and my signal was 100% even five miles past thisView attachment 56726
So its probly not the antenna Mindtrick
To windy for a long run only went 8 miles.
Db I love it.

I was hoping for more penetration, than with the stock antennas.

MT how are you holding the controller I did not see where you stated if my hand , sling or tripod. This maybe a big difference. If you're not lining it up straight.

I just replaced the cables. I have not tried it on a diff device yet.. I am using the ipad pro right now as my device because it has a larger screen.

when your doing your long runs.. what does your flight path look like??? is there alot of trees or buildings in line of sight to your drone?? or are you up higher and have a clean line of sight

For me I'm very lucky and have zero items in my way. Out to about 3.5 miles. I'll fly at about 120 ft up. Which is low to some.
This with a P3a stock everything but a wind surfer

I am just curious if its because of the trees in my line of sight

I try to fly from any spot thats slightly higher than the rest of the path! Even if you are in an open area ,if there is a tree line even a mile away and your elevation isnt higher the horizon will end your signal.

Are you flying from behind your house Jamie? It looks like your rc is pointed at your house in the HD link map...maybe combo of house and trees blocking signal when you get a certain distance??

Also to add I've gone 3.6 miles and turned around because of battery. I had already over ride the rth because of battery. I had full signal in both sides. Next good day when tempture drop down and wind is good.

ill take a screenshot.. one sec
Deff could be the trees

So if your flying say 8 miles away and had a telescope could you see your drone?
