Maxx VS Terminator. Long distance antenna shootout!

I would love to see the insides of the smaller 9db DBS/Itelite panel. Any takers? :)

Hey pro conductive copper tape and tested continuity it's possible this may not be good enough and I might have to thinly solder over the lot testing will tell.
This is definitely a prototype and if all goes well I will be etching pcb and possibly vacuum forming cover and airbrushing.
Although this is just the beginning I've seen allot more powerful 19dBi ones so might move on to them after.
If you need carbon fiber or fiberglass stuff let me know..i have a bunch..same with airbrush stuff

Thanks pro I'll keep that in mind, I was looking at a carbon fibre starter kit not too long ago, cool stuff especially weight wise but the finish also once polished up is top notch

Carbon fiber is sick..just finished this for an antenna bracket and more for the back of the reflectors on the helicals..jyst need to trim

Wow thats ace, gotta get me some carbon.
I wouldn't even bother with airbrush lol
Loving the shine do you sand then rubbing compound or is it just a case of polishing the surface

If you use special clear hardner and vacuum mold or use plexi with pva you dont need to sand ir anything..comes out ready to go.

That's awesome another project to add to the list ;)

question Seb if you added 2 more pucks to that would you think it would help on the 2.4 ghz side?
in parallel or serial
I'm not entirely sure, I haven't seen inside one of the pucks but my guess is it would mess with the impedance which would probably give you worse signal than before, that's my understanding of it but there's still much to learn

The way I see it the signal is retrieved from the antenna and is still spiraling in a pattern through the cables to the Tx or Rx, so if you had to signals coming into one cable it would seem that once they collide that rhythm would be extremely disrupted
