Lost Map View

Updated firmware/ lost camera contact/ freaked/ hit return to factory settings/everything works but, no more map view, just white space with Chinese writing. How can I get back maps?
Has anyone had a problem after returning to factory settings?

I'll be interested to see a solution to your problem.
I have just had my P4P returned from warranty repairs with a new controller. Apart from other 'things' I now have a global map with no detail apart from coastal outlines & countries named in Chinese !
No local detail whatsoever.
Let's hope someone has an answer

Your smart device needs a connection to the internet to get maps. Are you sure the connection it's good?

Have you got "Chinese Maps" turned on ? It appears my problem was that the maps were turned off and need to be on.
Apparently if off, you are not able to download local maps.
