Lost connection but now I trust Litchi more than DJI GO

Flew at night in an area where I'm familiar with. I used the Litchi app and for some reason I lost total connection.

I did not panic because I had visual of my Aircraft the entire time, and after I seen that the aircraft was staying on its designated course, I was certain that this app is far better than the DJI GO app.

If I had been using the waypoints section in the DJI GO app, my lack of confidence with said app would have kicked in and I would have panicked.

Although I lost complete connection with my aircraft, Litchi maintained its course and continued to film said flight.

Er.... both Lichi and DJI Go uploads the waypoint to onboard flight controller to do the job. Since you mentioned losing connection, if you lose connection to drone, how does what you run on your device matter to the reliabilities of how the drone behaves? Isn't by definition the app no longer has control over the drone?
