lightbridge firmware PROBLEM (and solution) - firmware version not found by dji assistant tool

Hi Everyone,

Ive soldered everything as it says and am trying to flash the image but continue to get BOOT ME (air unit)

Notice Target:curropt

I've tried Win vista 64 bit, 7 32bit and 10 64bit

Ive tried Crtl + C and restart CMD/redo command

To get the "BEGIN" command i have to keep the exe running and reboot the phantom like in the description. However it just changes to "curropt" and goes back to "BOOTME"

Anyone have any ideas? been stuck on this for a long time!

Any luck? I am having the same problem.

When I try to flash LB air unit, I see these messages. Reboot and CTRL + C do not give any results. LB ground unit works after firmware update.
what am I doing wrong? Thanks

Any luck figuring it out? I am having the same issue.

This curiously matches your log:
Flashing firmware on DaVinci media processors · mefistotelis/phantom-firmware-tools Wiki · GitHub

No image for you is there, though. But you may try the one for Ph3, maybe...

EDIT: Also note the UbiFS flashing description - based on it, if you will try to flash the whole NAND, you willdamage UbiFS.

I'm an owner of Phantom 2 Vision Plus V3.0 for last 4 years - yesterday, after 4 months of long winter with very bad weather conditions, I tried to let bird fly and I experienced unpleasant surprise because of no live video feed, just dark screen with full telemetry data.
Thanks to DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ Plus Blank Screen Corrupt NAND fix I quick fixed WiFi module despite that it was WM301_DM368_V1 model.
So conclusion is that there is no need to looking for Phantom 3 version software - version for old Phantom 2 Vision Plus works for V3.0. I hope it will be helpfull news for someone.
Thanks guys for great work!

Did you find the solution? I have the same problem, try steps 9 and 10 of the first step and also ... do not advance the TARGET: BOOTME

Hello, sorry, I have a problem in my P2V+, I have done all the steps but when I entered the command the screen does not pass from ...
waiting for the DM36x...
Target: BOOTME
BOOTME Command received.returning ACK and header...
ACK command sent. Waiting for BEGIN command
Target: BOOTME

CAN ANYBODY HELP ME? PLEASE

Mabe try to erase NAND first:

sfh_DM36x.exe -nanderase -v -p "COM10"

(insert proper COM number instead of "COM10"
It helped to me.

thank you for responding, and try to delete the NAND with that command (in my case the assigned port is COM3), try several times with CTRL + C but always stay on the same screen

Many thanks to the topic starter, the method works!

I had the same situation, but with the lightbridge 1 ground station .
I tried to download the firmware using two different USB-Serial adapters that I have.
One from ODROID (blue), the second one bought ftom hobbyking for flight controllers (see photo).
With blue one it was the same as you - utility see BOOTME request but no reaction on ACK from the pacient.
With yellow one everything was immediately started loading and in the end it all worked!
I didn't erase flash.
Blue as far as I know with the levels of 1.8-3.3 V, yellow, i think 3.3-5 V. Maybe the problem is in the adapter (signal levels or something else).

Thanks for the information, I will try another USB adapter and if I succeed, I will gladly share my experience and help anyone who needs it, regards

the method works !!!! I am very grateful to all those who have helped me, Gaucho, you are great, Maxe, thank you very much for the advice to change USB Serial adapter, I tell you about my experience: I have a Panthom 2 Vision Plus and had a black screen, I had previously bought a wifi module and with that I started to do tests, I can never make it work, it did not happen BOOTME BOOTME, and I decided to try it with the original module, I did all the steps and immediately I could flash it, now I have an image !!! I have not yet been able to operate the second module, but the important thing is that my P2V + works! thank you

Hello. Same problem with a PV331 (then a PV2+)....

After 1 year without use, i load battery, test it, power on bird, got image, all working.
place in the air (30 cm of the ground, in the garden). after 20 sec, battery self POWEROFF. bird fall in the grass. without break anything.
With second battery, i restart PV2+, and don't get any picture on screen ! i was thinking camera is broken, but when i do picture and look on sd, it's good.

search again and again and discover the "black screen" issue.... and this fantastic page !

i follow the procedure given here :

sfh_DM36x.exe -nandflash -v -p "COM7" dm6467_297_ubl.img u-boot_modifiedByGaucho.img

(success)

then

sfh_DM36x.exe -nandflash -v -p "COM7" ubl1_editedByGaucho.img u-boot_modifiedByGaucho.img

(success)

it boot fine (see captured text below).

but still no live stream (picture/video record correctly on sd)

is it right files for phantom vision 2 + ?
is there any possible other problem ?
if module boot (as see in following captured text), can we say that module is not dead ? not bad ?

heeeeeelppp ! thanks !

OK

Starting kernel ...

Primary kernel is damaged, you're booting from recovery kernel.
You need to flash primary kernel.

Here is how to do it on Phantom 3 Pro:
o-gs/dji-firmware-tools

Thanks a lot for your answer.... Is it the same procedure for Phantom 2 + (as mine ) ?

And where to find correct kernel image file ???
I found "uimage" on this forum in a post "extacted"... the internal binary contain same text as show on working_pv2+_wifi_module : "Linux-2.6.32.17-davinci1"....
But file is 4Mb and capture talk about 3.6Mib...
it's probably the kernel image for lightbridge.... can i use on PV2+ Wifi module ???
