Hows this for a Save.....

Nice find, thanks for sharing. Happy endings are a good thing.

I wonder how much Bactine he needed after that little dip on the rocks.

Would pushing the sticks up bought him some more time?

I think it would have but I got the FC40. Who knows what he was flying.

Don't know about you, but I smiled at the save. :D

Ok how does this happen?

pilot error ??
defective battery?
bad connections to the battery??

I can't run as fast as this guy if this happened to me

Good hustle :D

Sorta looks like a low battery auto land .

yeah thats what it looks like from that flashing red light definitely not a bad connection otherwise it would fall from the sky. . I wonder if it was a defective battery which suddenly drained from 100% to 15% or the pilot was not paying attention

I would of busted my butt. Great save.

This guy manages to save his phantom from a salty death..... Impressive
Hey, just saw your ' drone save ',
Outstanding!
You did well to cover a lot of ground to save it from the water.

Just wondering, what was the issue?
Low battery?
Other malfunction?

I've been flying Phantoms for over a year and I'm on my way home or landing somewhere when my battery status gets to 20%.
DJI (and some other pilots) swear you can get 25 minutes flight time from a battery;however, I have never found that to be the case. I'm happy with 20 minutes.....then I land and switch batteries.
Just to be safe.
Here in the North-East, I also have to be careful when flying in cold weather. Below 0 Celsius or 32 degrees F, it's possible for a Phantom to ice up or the props ice up. If they do, your aircraft comes down.
Pilots need to know that the higher you fly(in cold weather) the colder the air is.
So, that's an issue to remember.

Anyway, great video.......glad you were able to save your Phantom. :)
