That being said, I have tested the theory of flying on less than a fully charged battery. ( Per the app display and the data ). I have found that the reported percentages are fairly accurate, which would lead one to believe that the theory of flying on less than full charge would give you false percentages since some believe these percentage values are based upon a fully charged battery. As far as I have seen this is true, however only with a few percentages difference depending upon the battery temperature. This would be approximately +/- 5% from my own testing. Which should not cause any issues. Although granted you should always takeoff with a full charge.
