Hi everyone,

I am going to Europe (France, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Finland, and Switzerland) this December and as I read more about regulations in Europe, I get more confused. Can you share with me some experiences of using the drones there? If I use a drone lighter than 250grams, do I need to register and is there any way to know which place doesn't allow drones? Thank you!

Hi there ,

I'm living in Belgium and here you cannot fly a drone without certification except lower as 10 meter on your own property . So... not much chance of flying here ..
Netherlands is a lot more tolerant . You can fly recreational only without certification to 120 m high VLOS only , not above buildings and streets with traffic quicker as 30 km/hour . In France its kind of like the netherlands . Recreational only , not above people , buildings , up till 120 m VLOS only ...Germany is more tolerant .Don't know about Luxemburg en Finland . I do know about sweden . You cannot fly any drone with a camera on it there .
