Got the stomach flu so being home bored to death, here's an interesting booster amp comparison for today... (Only posting this here because a lot of us use these amps with portable Lcom/mobile setups.)

With these antenna's...

Here is their reading screwed directly to RC...

Here is same antenna with 3W FPVLR..

Same with 3W sunhan..

Sunhan Gold wins.

And to be fair to this thread, here is L-com straight out of RC, and propped by low loss cashews.. (laughs)

About a 6dBm difference (8.5dB L-coms was a 6dBm better reading than 9dB Alfa)

Last nights flight from in my truck. Wasn't far, but some areas were blocked by stacks of lumber. Plan on re-flying this area much lower between the stacks.

About all I had left to test was my magnet base/cable..

L-com straight to 3W sunhans amp...

L-com on magnet base/3W sunhans..

.23 dBm loss. Plenty good for a car set-up. Glad to know all amps/cables test good/consistent. Gave me a little more confidence.

Little confirmation from Jake.. (which I needed) the blue lights on RX side is crosstalk. He said some antennas have more crosstalk than others, some will light it up and some won't. No worries but avoid if possible he said. Not a huge difference.

Those panel antennas I think are better to use on the RF testers. Being directional they omit interference from their back sides.

Last one. To be fair, here's 10' LMR400 "with" the whip/couplers, b/c it's how we use it.. Tested the same as magnet base.
