Firmware Update Issue

I have been trying to update my firmware on my remote. I presently states I am running 1.18
I have gone through all of the various approaches to get the file onto the remote with no success.
1. USB card reader
2. thumb drive
3. Cable connected to aircraft.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What error message are you getting?

Is your remote 300A or 300B?.......If it's B you have to update via the DJI app.

I am with 300A remote

What happens is it does not go to the blue light on the remote showing it is installing.

What error message are you getting?

What version firmware are you loading onto card/thumb drive when you try to update?
If it's the latest version, it doesn't include a controller update, and you need to go back to 1.3.20 as stated on the DJI downloads page.

Thank you guys. Good news solved. Had to do the step between of 1.3.20 before I could install 1.4.10
Now all is good an current.
Excited to fly now!
