On RTH I sometimes have to go to S1 and manually land my P3S to avoid obstacles. If Failsafe is activated due to loss of signal, can I still manually land, assuming signal is restored by the time it gets to the vicinity of home.

If signal is restored, you can definitely take back the controls.
