DJI no longer sells replacement batteries for the Phantom 4

Yes I always got warnings on my ae86 drone but didn't shut me out of the app. I guess dji is very picky. Very interesting what my map says and what aloft says u were right it's much more accurate and yes it is roseburg reg. Airport. And u see that parking lot far right is where I fly and can throw a rock and hit pierce st. Lol SOOO I guess I can't fly in an enhanced area if using dji app. ??? I always get a heads up that there's a Airport so many miles away fly with cation . On all my drones. Never kicked me off until I got a dji drone though. I did try atti. Mode didn't help I think because satellite still running in background. Gonna try going over where u said I'll get back to you. Thank so much for ur time as always . Cheers
SOOO... I went to pierce rd. And it was crazy so close to me I fired everything up an all of the airport warnings disappeared everything just a wide open map no restrictions no warnings nothing everything was working properly not a glitch not a warnings nothing!!!! I did have a guy buss up to me harassing me, and I explained what and why I was there he came back and said I was trespassing. I explained again and persistent as he was said I'm not allowed there. I was passed off and just an hour ago I called the police none emergency number and a few minutes later a cpp called me back I explained what and why and I was doing for faa and he said if I do another check, and he comes back call them and he will be arrested.!!! Sooo... many people with nothing better to do... sorry for the ranting guess I should expect it .. anyways case solved. Thank u all so much for ur help happy flying to all and to all a good night. Cheers. By the way , generic batt is working flawless still and loving this p4 soooo... responsive and fun I love it , and by the the way I bought another p4 for parts... it said flying great but has issues, cracked up fine but haven't flown it yet, I will probably talk about it when I do lol... thanks Guys..cheers

That's good to hear.........the flight that is.....not the troublemaker. But, some people are like that. I'm sure you'll find other places to fly.

Even if you aren't flying, you can still bring up the Aloft Air Control app and just touch places on the map to reveal if it's safe to fly......or has restrictions such as lower altitude limits. Even then, FAA approval on the Aloft app takes less than a minute once you have your planned flight area within your 'zone'. You then fly in the block of time you've indicated (start time/finish time) . Simple.

SOOO... cool Ai and acknowledge use for good awsome. So I'm still on the fence as far as enhanced area am I not allowed 🚫 to fly in that I took my trust license and bought a Holly transponder and downloaded the find drone signals near me app. To double check it's working and it is. Funny that all warnings all airports and warnings disappeared a block and a half away!! So minute yet so huge of a difference. Crazy. And I love the fact I can send u a snap shot of my location and u can see all this. WOW . So forgive me for not understanding but, dji doesn't want me to fly in any enhanced area AT ALL ?? Is this correct? That's why it kicks me off?? To reiterate I need to get permission to to fly when I'm in my parking lot time start , ending and so on ? Like I was flying in restricted air space.? Please elaborate if u will. Like I said I'm a newbie and u are miles a head of me. Such a joy to have you in my corner. Like I said before I'm a disabled VETERAN and don't feel sorry for myself just love to fly. It gets me outside every day. So much joy. Funny I was chimming in on the other thread the guy I think was from France 🇫🇷 or something got the thread mixed up and hopefully he gets something out of this if he reading this. He was in Europe for sure having all kinds of problems. I wish him well on solving his issues also. Cheers Mark

DJI started their Geofencing garbage soon after the P3 and P4 were introduced. It was an effort to curb drone incursions in sensitive areas like airports, hospital helipads, stadium sporting events, and correctional facilities. This Geofencing was hidden in numerous firmware updates on each drone model. Sneaky, but it calmed down the FAA from more drastic drone control measures.

You may be able to fly in your parking lot once Aloft /FAA permissions are granted through the app. Only way to tell is to try it. Being close to that local airport may limit your flight altitude.

But since January 2025....

DJI has indeed stopped controlling geofencing, you don't need to take any action to get rid of it. In January 2025, DJI updated their system to align with FAA regulations, removing the automatic flight interlocks in geofenced areas. Instead of geofencing, DJI now uses the FAA's data to label "Enhanced Warning Zones" and will provide in-app alerts about restricted airspace. To ensure you have the latest information, you should update your "FlySafe" database within the DJI app.

Here's a breakdown of the changes:
  • No more geofencing:
DJI no longer automatically blocks drones from entering restricted zones.

  • Enhanced Warning Zones:
The FAA's data is now used to highlight potentially restricted airspace, and you'll receive in-app warnings.

  • FlySafe Update:
To receive the latest information and warnings, update your "FlySafe" database in the DJI app.

  • Operator Responsibility:
Pilots are now expected to be aware of and comply with local aviation regulations.
