Is it worth replacing missing controller and batteries for DJI Phantom 4

I wanted to get some opinions out there. I have a DJI Phantom 4 purchased in late 2016, barely used. I moved about a year and a half ago, and my batteries and controller got lost (long story)

I still have the drone and the case, and the charger. Also, extra propellers and a few other things.

I really enjoyed using it when I did but I am wondering if it's worth investing in new batteries and a used controller for something 8 years old.

Like I said, I did not use it that often, and it still looks brand new. It was flying perfect last time I used it and I've never had a problem with it.

Thank you in advance

Matt

You could probably source a controller and two after-market batteries for under USD200. That sounds worthwhile to me. You've flown it before, so you know the drone's short-comings. If it suits your needs, then why not?

I probably have a controller that I don’t need. You pay the shipping and it could find a new home. Batteries I have also but would need a help with those.

It depends on you really. If you'd like to fly your Phantom 4, then purchasing replacement parts is the only option. If you'd rather fly something more modern, it might be wiser to invest that money in a new drone and sell yours as is.

I really appreciate all of the response I've received.

I know it's 8 years old now, but when I did use it, it was exceptional. I have zero complaints about operation of it, how it maneuvered, and quality of video. I never really got to use some of the advanced features, other than trying out sport mode a couple of times.

Last time I looked at it, I noticed that DJI app was no longer working from the Play store, but I guess that's been resolved and there are other options out there now. So, yes, I think I will get it going again. I would not personally buy it if I did not know it could fly, so many people might be looking at buying a paperweight if I did try to sell it. I know it's certainly not worth anywhere what I paid for it, but at the time it was worth it.

Don't download anything from Play Store. Get the genuine DJI GO 4 app from DJI's website.

That issue hasn't been resolved, and you should not download other lookalike apps in the Play Store. Instead, download their apps directly from the Download Center on DJI's website.

Never use anything but Dji. Just google dji go4 and find the dji site .
