I am a little confused.
In addition to the 3 antennas that comes with the FPVLR kit, would I still need to buy the ImmersionRC 5.8Ghz Audio/Video Transmitter?

Yes. You will still need a video transmitter. That antenna set is just an upgrade to the stock antennas that ship with the various components. One is for the transmitter and the other two are for a diversity receiver.
antennas are just antennas. you still need a transmitter to send the signal yes. and unless you want to do some soldering and cable splicing, don't forget the plug and play cable for whatever transmitter family you get (there are two main families/frequency sets)

when the right antennas are used even a cheap system like the 200mw boscam tx and rx can go miles with clear video.
yes you still need tx and rx but the antennas at these frequencies make or break your fpv link... literally.

Just pulled the trigger on my FPV setup, and I can't thank everyone enough for all the great advice I've found on this forum and in this thread in particular. Thought this would be a good chance to give it a bump. If someone's still shopping for their FPV system definitely check out QYV's sticky at viewtopic.php?f=34&t=26413. VERY helpful!

I also ordered the Flytrex Core for 49.99, and I'll admit that I'm a little bit leery of adding all these toys to my phantom. (Phantom2 with Zenmuse and H3 Black) I'd like to mount the iOSD Mini internally, and the Tx behind the gimbal where my camera interference board is now. Flytrex is small but I think it needs to be mounted externally as well. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good step by step installation guide?
Any additional thoughts, tips, or suggestions on this setup are welcome!

Lots of good information in this thread. So is it generally accepted that the ImmersionRC is better than DJI's AVL58? If so, why is that the case? Better specs?

little delay on the "Project Glen" packages got mixed up at UPS so some lady received the Phantom where

OK, I'm back. Got sidetracked with other projects. Are these components still good or are they outdated? Hopefully gonna pull the trigger within the next couple of weeks. spent 2 months in Japan and have a little money saved up to split between my muscle car build-up and my phantom.
