can you use range extender for wifi boost on laptop ?

I have two extra controllers is it possible to use the range extender to pull in a weak wifi signal to connect to the internet with a laptop ?

I don't see why not. You will have to know where the WIFI is transmitted from and point the tip of the extender toward it like when you are flying.
