So I’ve searched this particular topic and have only came across threads that are a year old or older, I’m looking for current opinion regarding my predicament.

I live within 5 miles of two airports, one of which does not allow online flight notification through the airmap app. Every time I call the number listed for said airport I go through the automated system and I never get an answer or a call back from any voicemails I leave. I’m wanting to know how any of y’all have dealt with the same scenario and come to a workable solution. Thanks for reading!

Document your attempts (your mobile device does that for you) . ... number called, time, you left message (via call duration), etc.

Then fly safe.

It’s basically a CYA.

Unless there is an incident nothing will ever come of it.

Forgive my ignorance but what is CYA

Your obligation is to NOTIFY to the best of your ability. Leave a voicemail and as noted "document" it in your logs/notes.

This would NEVER fly in a legal setting. Notifications to ATC are clearly defined and acknowledgement is necessary.

And therein lies my fears, eventually I would like to get my part 107, I definitely don’t want to do anything that would hinder that.

This topic has been discussed for five years on this site and a conclusion was made long long ago. See post #5.

For Hobby/Part 101 operators the requirement is to Notify! Acknowledgement is never mentioned nor required. You're point blank wrong. If you can show me in writing otherwise I'll retract my statement but I don't see that happening on this thread anyway.

Now for Part 107 operations that's a whole other ball-game but this thread is not about P107 operations.

I’m accessing the site on mobile, how would I go about finding post #5?
It's my post where I stated:

"Your obligation is to NOTIFY to the best of your ability. Leave a voicemail and as noted "document" it in your logs/notes."
