Here is the camera suddenly giving tilts to extreme ...

Never seen anything like this before. I checked all after and all I can find is a slight split in one rubber 'mounts' for gimbal. All ribbon cables fine ... gimbal joints etc. fine.

Strange ..... ideas ??

You don't have a P3p
That's what my P4 does once in a while.lol
It does it on my P4 when I am going fast, quick turn or there is a strong wind. I think it all relates to too much force on the camera/ gimbal.

Didnt you have a similar issue about 6 months ago? I seem to recall seeing tilts in one of you workshop videos.

I have a non-working P3S after it went swimming ... motors are now powering an FPV450

I have for my working Phantom .. a P3P ... so where do you get idea I don't have a P3P ??

The camera fault occurred at relatively slow speed and very little wind ... I was flying straight as well ... here's the full video so people can see it was an isolated event :

Hi OSO .... I don't remember ever seeing this happen before ... I know I had a tilted horizon ... certainly never in flight like this.

Nigel

It is obvious from the video footage that the AC itself has not altered its attitude. The video clearly shows the front left arm end coming into the frame ... indicating camera is tilting up to the left ... so its a camera / gimbal matter ...

I have recalibrated gimbal ... checked all connections and will be repeating same flight today possibly more than once to see what happens.

Just for the record :

FW = 1.11.20
APP = Android 3.1.43
RC = 1.9.2

Yes ... that wobble on yawing / pitch change. I don't know why - but my gimbal does do that in 'other' mode .. but of nothing like what is in this thread ... that's an extreme that hits the stops !

I tried reproducing by hand and I got some reaction when tilting the AC extreme .. but still - the video shows that the AC was not tilting as the arm flicks into view.

Will be checking it all out again shortly. Need a break from my desk !! Work and humidity is getting me down ...

Sorry Nigel, I’m bad about trying to joke. It was acting like my P4 in wind. So I was trying to say it thinks it is a P4, the way it was acting. I know you have a P3p.

No worries ...

Looks like the issue i had on P4 where the gimbal would lose power and then snap back to life. Notice its travel downward and left is much more loose and relaxed than the return trip. I never could figure out what caused it. Fairly irregular occurence.
