I received my certification a few weeks ago and I'm in the process of securing insurance; my broker just sent me this:

"The underwriter did have a question, will you be getting a consent form signed prior to using the drone at a customer’s premises?"

I asked her if the goal was to provide permission in case there's an incident, but I also told her that I won't always be filming at the client's HQ, I could be filming local color, etc... I'm still waiting for an answer, but I wanted to see if any of you had a basic "waiver" or "release" that you ask your clients to sign. Thanks in advance.

Absolutely have a basic waiver for your client to sign. Weather your flying over their property or some other place.

I ain't no lawyer but I imagine your contract should include some kind of section that deals with a waiver of consequential damages, injury or loss of life.

Consider consulting a real lawyer about your rights on this.
