Hi, I have a Phantom 2 Vision (Std)

The R11 resistor on the main board has turned into a small blob of chard charcoal so it is dead and the resistance can’t be measured.

From the only circuit diagram I found on the net it is identified as R11 and is 11.5Meg Ohm resistor. As it’s the only diagram I can find I need to be certain what it is before I replace it.

It is a surface mount resistor next to the CAM socket on the main printed circuit board.

If you have one of these drones/main boards and are able to measure the resistance of the resistor I would be so grateful. The main board with R11 on is a P330CB-H3-2D V2 board.

If this is teaching granny to suck eggs then I apologise but here goes anyway.

To measure the resistance of the R11 first remove the drone’s battery, then remove the connectors from both the ZENMUSE & the CAM sockets. You should be then be able to measure the true resistance by putting the meters probes on each end of R11.

Hopefully the attached pictures will clarify which resistor I need the details for.

Many Many thanks.

Thanks Mark,
Odd it should show it being a value of 11.5M as it's not a common value, hence the reason to have its value confirmed.
I have a garage full of components so I have plenty to choose from just not that actual value, but as you say it's a pull up and so it will have a wide value range that will still work OK.
I know changing the board is not difficult (I have had it out a few times) but for me changing a resistor while the board is still in the drone it's a lot less hassle.

Thanks again

This happens if you unplug the egg camera when the quad is powered on, i know as i did this on mine many many years back, i have plenty of spare boards but dont know jack about measuring a component, if you want to drop me an email at [email protected] with some instructions i will gladly help., PS i do have a test meter.
Or if you are in the UK i can send you a board for free just pay postage

Do you still need someone to get the actual value of R11? I have a Vision+ and a couple phantom 2's that I can open if that would help.

Hi Dave,
Not sure yet to be honest, I have had a reply from a chap that is offering a replacement board and I'm waiting for him to get back to me about it so can I keep you in mind just in case?
Regards

It seems like the P2, Vision and Vision Plus all use the same main board but I'm not certain and don't have a P2 Vision to compare it too. I will happily open one up at your request but can't promise it'll be the same :(

I have sent a PM as I had sent an email but after it bounced twice I thought a PM would at least get to you.
