Can anyone provide info on balancing propellers? Is it needed? What is the best way to accomplish this balancing?

Never hurts to balance your props. For the Phantom 2 with the self-tightening props, I recommend the following setup:

Phantom 2 Balace Rod (does both clockwise & counterclockwise):

I've not found the need to balance my props. If your video is free from 'jello' you aren't going to achieve much. Just make sure you use genuine DJI props every time.

Balance? Have 1 original DJI prop and three el cheapo props from Ebay on the Phantom and the bird seems to fly fine and video looks good.
