I noticed when flying yesterday that the RTH elevation distance was different that what I have it set at on the phantoms software on the computer itself. Anyone else notice this difference? or should I just set the apps distance to the same as what the software is on my computer? what does everyone have their app settings at for their phantom visions?

The RTH in the software is in case you aren't using the app, which I think overrides the software setting,
I personally set the RTH differently depending on where I'm flying, if its open space I set it at 60ft, if there are trees then i set it to 100ft, its up to you what height you use, remember that when flying the RTH is the height you are at when RTH kicks in, it only goes up in height if you are flying lower than the set RTH height. Lastly if for any reason you think you are likely to hit something then the advice is to give the quad as much height as you can before letting RTH kick in.
