WIFI range limited to 10-30ft

A friend of mine has a Phantom Vision 2+ (same as mine), but there is a problem with his. Everything seems to be just fine, but the video connection breaks between 10-30 feet. It seems that the WIFI connection to the range extender is fine (WIFI seems to be connected), but the signal strength (top right in camera screen) drops pretty fast.

Does anyone know what can be wrong? I don't think this is because of software configuration...

I'm using a PV2+ V3 and can tell you my wifi power is low too, until I start the motors, then, wifi power automatically increases.
Strange, but not all PV2+ have this behaviour.
On the ground, motors off -> vidéo breaks when I move about 25 meters from the drone.
Motors on, I can fly as far as some others.
The wifi module should be aligned with the drone.

You can use wifi analyzer app to check if your PV2+ does the same !

When the bird is flying, then the WIFI connection drops almost immediately. I don't think because it's flying, but because the signal drops too fast, because of the increasing distance.
