as such? I would like a nice work station area to operate on various electronic gizmos and for the life of me, I cannot find out what these are referred to as.

Where does one acquire said surfaces?

I've been using an old white bath towel to cover my "work bench" (living room table :D).

works well at catching nuts and stuff so they won't bounce off and onto the floor.

You have no idea how bizarre it is in this day and age to not instantly access information when you want it. I tried all sorts of search parameters to discover what it was called without luck. I lose the day.

Thanks!

I use a simple door mat. The surface is soft and the rubber backing keeps it from moving. Found one in a big-box hardware/lumber store - Lowe's or Home Depot, as I recall.

I don't remember the website, but there is one or two where you can get this self-healing cutting mat pre-cut to your specifications. I am an eBay seller, and do a lot of packing. I have my packing table covered in it, and it is handy for SO many things.
