Orientation confused the heck out of me in the simulator! I had been warned against using the CSC! How long should one wait until charging a battery after it's been used?

Just let it get back to room temperature. In my experience, 30-45 minutes for me. I typically give it an hour. It sucks when all you really want to do is charge it back up and get back out there!! Fortunately, my wife just picked me up a second battery for valentine's day, so now the first battery will be cooling down while I fly the second so I shouldn't have to wait too long to charge the first one again![]()
I have a puppy that tried to attack the drone when I launched it. So keep dogs away!First flight lesson, remember when flying low altitude that RTH takes it up to a minimum height, not what you want in medium winds!
Also, on the dog front.. Had just landed the bird and one came over all friendly... Then promptly pi#sed all over my bag and the legs of the quad!!
Lesson = keep away from dogs when not airborne!!!
I learned that I'm going to need more practice. I've been so focused on not crashing that I haven't mastered the camera or capturing those cinematic shots.
I did that the first time I turned it on!I learned Not to forget to take of the gimbal locking clip

This was about the same for me. Was in beginner mode, lasted a minute or two into flight. I didn't venture far, but at times let it just hover while I talked to a random stranger interested. That it's easier then it looks. My first flight was about as uneventful as one could hope for!
I had two close call during my first days of flying:
I learned that sometimes DJI stock batteries are bad right out of the retail box.
Learn what the flashing light sequence means.
(It was almost three years ago with a P1 and resulted in an instant fly away as the home point was not recorded. P3 users have it easy!)
