I was wondering why does the video record like in segments. Sometimes it will record the whole thing and sometimes I see it at the end that it recorded in segments 5-6 minutes clips. I know its not the sd card. Why any suggestions?

Depends on the size of the file. It's limited to 4 GB file size. The higher resolution you're shooting, the quicker you'll use up that 4 GB. Hope that makes sense.

ok so your saying if I'm filming in 4k 60fps the recording will stop at 4 GB and start again? that's why they are in segments? I mean not sure why it has to stop. You could be taking some great footage of something and it kinda sucks that it has to stop. You could miss the money shot. Doesn't seem right.

wow I didn't know that. I still don't understand why they feel the need to do that. I just don't get the reason behind it but thank you guys so much for the quick response

FAT32 file system limits file size max 4GB. exFAT allows larger files but unfortunately the Phantom still splits the videos at 4GB.
