Hi, i fly birds of prey for work and as a hobby and part of the reason i got the P2 was to explore maybe using it as a replacement for what we call lure kite training...

has anybody seen or knows how to attach a remote control release mechanism to the P2?, this would be to release the food to a high pitching falcon in order to teach the falcon to gain height for hunting and for lure display work etc...

On a falconry forum, someone has briefly mentioned that with the zenmuse removed from the P2, the actual gimbal switch on the remote control can be used/re programmed to 'open' a remote release on the P2 when in the air?... can anyone please expand on this theory...

You answered your own question. There will be some simple mods required but a gimble would get the job done.

Any spare channel from your receiver or NAZA can control that (such as the gimbal control)
