Hi just bought a controller for my Phantom 3 proffessional, but I think I may have jump the gun into purchasing one and not doing my homework so to speak... Im now doing research and finding out that this transmitter GL358WB is only for the Phantom 3 4k?? My original remote stopped working and its part number is GL300C...so Im not sure what to do. Im wondering if I can somehow make this remote work for my Phantom pro? maybe a firmware swap and the back usb connector switch out? I was wondering if anyone had a little insight on these controllers on whats exactly different about each of them...

Firmware variations won’t help is this situation.
No magic wand that I’m aware of. What stopped working on the 300C ?

Do you still have the GL358wB controller? I'm looking for one.

Had a similar problem with my 3 controller several years ago. Sent it to DJI in socal, unable to resolve the problem, so I moved on. Very disappointing but sometimes they just die.

Hey! I totally get your concerns. Yes, the GL358WB controller is mainly designed for the Phantom 3 4K. Unfortunately, it’s not compatible with the Phantom 3 Professional. Trying to swap firmware can be risky and doesn’t always work. It’s better to look for the original GL300C controller for optimal performance.Additionally, keep in mind that differences in controllers can affect range and signal stability. It’s best not to mess with substitutes as you might damage the drone. Good luck with your search!

Ph3 4k radio link isn't even physically compatible with Lightbridge. Radio link is completely different. The chips used are different.

Also, you need technical knowledge to force any DJI device to update to wrong firmware. Details in my old post:

So it's not "doesn’t always work", but its "always doesn’t work".

There are plenty of GL300 A, B or C remote controllers available. Any of these will work on the p3 advanced or pro. They also work on the p4 Standard. I have several. They are about $100
