USB Port

Noob question. Does anyone know what the USB port on the controller is used for? Its the one that you plug your phone/tablet into. Not the micro USB port for charging. Thanks!

Are you referring to the micro USB port on back of the P34K remote controller or the USB port on the P3A/P3P remote controller? I'm only asking because it appears you have a P34K.

USB port on the RC controller for P3A/P is used for connecting your mobile device where you can run your DJI Go App to set parameters needed during flying P3 as well view the video stream.

True, but I don't think the OP has a P3A/P3P remote controller. Neither of them have a mini USB port on the side.

Perhaps DJI is using it for something when building/repairing RCs. They have never released any documentation on uses for that port.
