i was in sports mode yesterday and no wind, it would go no faster than 40mph is this the norm ?

The top speed in sport mode with no wind is 45 MPH. How could you tell there was absolutely no wind up in the sky?

I wasn't flying that high about 30ft and was a really calm day plus I flew it in all directions and each time 40mph

Eh sport mode can get you in trouble really fast anyways. My P4 has hit 54 with a nice tailwind

Keep in mind the "braking" distance is allot longer in sport mode at speed. I personally use sport mode just to get to a way point or shooting vantage out to get home. I don't think the phantom was meant to be a racing fpv drone.

How about hovering with no stick input while in ATTI mode?

I don't think that was this, I've been doing this a while. This thing was screaming!
F3: I searched back and found the thread about the KPH/MPH bug you mentioned. I'll do a distance check tomorrow.
