A few days after getting my P3P, I made my first test flight of about 6 minutes at about 2pm Sunday May 24 CDT. A couple days later I downloaded the Flight data records by clicking on the General Settings icon 
on the camera screen of the DJI Pilot App (Android version 1.1.0), MC Settings, Advanced Settings, Enter flight data mode. I then connected the Phantom to a Windows 7 laptop where the Phantom memory appeared as the D: disk. I copied all files, over 2 GB of .DAT files.
The timestamps on the files covered several days, before and after the first test flight. Using the Log File Viewer from https://www.mapsmadeeasy.com/log_viewer, I looked for the .DAT file associated with the flight. None of the files time stamped with the date of the flight contained the first flight data. I found the first flight data on a file FLY013 .DAT timestamped 5/23/2015 2:00 PM.
It appears the the timestamps on the .DAT files are one day earlier than the actual date.
