This is where I'm stuck at.....

You can fly without the mobile device. If I were in your situation, I'd fly it around in an open area without the mobile device to check it out a bit. I wouldn't take it too far or high until I had more confidence in all of the old batteries. Once that was tested and confirmed working, I'd move to the app. FYI - I would NOT do any sort of updates.

Have you tried to get the camera view using the other drones on the menu? The Inspire for example?
Have you tried other known good data cables? Charge only cables will not work.
Have you tried powering up with different steps? For example, power up RC, then AC, then mobile device.

In your video, we can't see the lights on your RC or the small lights on your AC. I do think I see another AC in the background.
Have you tried using another RC? The USB port on the RCs have been known to go bad. It appears to be a bad cable when it's actually the USB port of the RC.
Perhaps another RC would work and that would help with troubleshooting.

Another quick note. With a P3P, it is likely that you've lost the ability to see the camera image on your screen. Search for "No Image Transmission" for more info. If this has happened to you, your LOG_AB file will show DEVICE NOT DETECTED for modules 8 and 15. The app and controls should still work, just not the camera image.

Just a couple of thoughts, though honestly it has been several years since I've used my drones. I'm really testing my old feeble brain cells trying to remember enough to offer you tips.

Cheers!
Thanks.
I'm pretty dumb....the RC you see in the background is for a used P3S that I bought first.
Before really learning much about it, I found out the the P3P had a better camera, which is what I wanted to use this for....so I bought the used P3P!
If I recall correctly, after having this issue with the P3P, I tried to connect the P3S with the same results.

Maybe it is a USB cable issue.
I'll have to buy one that I know is 'full featured'.

#16.

If you look at the links I posted, you will see your iPad Mini 4 is not going to work.

I got at least four hours of testing yesterday, the proof is in those links.

I have used multiple USB-A to lightening cables.
How do I know if they are "high quality" or not?
Some are 'thinner' than others, some look 'high quality', but just how would I know?

BTW- This is the first link I clicked on the PhantomHelp site (see post higher up), that sent me to a page unrelated to USB to Lightening cables.
There are two basic types of lightning cables. (1) charging only (2) Full Data transfer cable. You need the full data transfer cable.

*Also-- check out post #43 above where @RodPad says your iPad Mini 4 will not work in this instance. *

iPad Mini 4
iOS: 15.8.3
Model No: MK9N2LL/A

@RodPad - My expectation would be that his Mini 4 with 15.8.3 should still work with DJI GO.

An iPad 4 (max iOS of 10) would not be expected to work since GO requires iOS 12 or later.

Can you clarify how you’ve deduced a Mini 4 with iOS 15 will not work? Thanks. 🙂

This has been a confusing thread, I see that he did post the info for the iPad.

I check my sources. :)

This is one of the main reasons I like these forums.
Sharing information and other member checking your post. 👌

Where I'm still unsure.

Mikes sight,
Top of mobile list, says Dji Go and Dji FLy
The charts only say DJI Go.
I can't find any info on a iPad * 4

But I do find it on this sight.

Watching your post for the last few years. I'm sure you are correct. :)

Sometime today, I will try something on the older wife's iPhone.

Experiment, I finally got to it..

My Wife's older phone.
Model Name: iPhone7
Model Number: MN8G2LL/A
Serial F4HV3GY5HG6W
SW: 15.8.3

DJI Go
APP:3.1.80

Hardware
Air Craft:1.10.90
RC: 1.9.2
FLY SAFE: 01.00.0.07
CONTROLLER:: 03Z0582131

Testing
(A) Install App if Remote and Bird are linked every thing works.
(B) Install App If Remote and Bird are NOT linked you cannot get to the remote linking screen.

Once (A) has been done, you can get to the camera view without having a remote at all.

Summery, Install app, you will not be able to get to the remote linking screen, If the bird and remote are not linked.

Testing I used 2 P3A remotes and a P3A bird.
