Someone commented on my prior VPS test video and stated that they thought VPS was inactive when the Phantom 3 had a GPS lock. Perhaps people already know the answer to this but I did not so I performed a small test. I laid out a cross pattern blanket on my lawn and flew the Phantom 3 about 2 feet above it with a good GPS lock (12-13 sats). I then pulled the blanket around to make the VPS think the Phantom 3 was moving.

To me this test shows that the VPS is not active when the Phantom 3 has a good GPS lock. The GPS lock appears to override any input from the VPS.
