Stock birdside antenna replacement

I don't mean to hi-jack this thread BUT I was reading somewhere in another post............the bird only receives in 5.8 and doesn't transmit? Is that right?

The P3S has a 5.8 receiver, not a 5.8 transmitter, so yes, that's correct. The 5.8 signal is the control signal.

The P3S also has a 2.4 ghz transceiver which is used to communicate the FPV/telemetry.

Thanks Mark, I found that info about midnight of the same day, on another forum . Its crazy but I bought that first Drone used and ever since I first had it it never had a good range on the control side and I've thrown a lot of mods at it, including bird side mods. It's been a good learning experience. I picked up another Standard 3, from goodwill, two days ago and it went 2500 ft distance completely stock RC and AC,flying between two subdivisions. WOW.

I think I'm going to try and pair the latest "Goodwill remote" to the problem bird just to narrow down my issue. Have a good one....
