Smoothing Gimbal Movement

I found the gimbal control menu and was able to set values that gave the gimbal a slow start to its movement, kind of like lowering the EXP values for the joysticks. So now I have smooth transitions from still to gimbal movement, but when I let go of the wheel control it stops it's movement rather abruptly. I thought the 'smoothing' would work for acceleration AND deceleration, but the sudden stopping looks terrible and is not what I want. Any ideas? Thanks.

Yes should stop smooth like start,all I can think of is rc stick calibration
