Have you had success yet with your re new???

no, the online form stated my serial # was invalid or some such word
yes I triple checked it
are others reporting same...?

I renewed mine about two weeks ago. I don't remember having to fill in my serial numbers again. Just renewed my registration number, paid the $5 and that was it. Try it without putting in serial numbers and see what happens. Leave that box blank. For a "renewal" you shouldn't need to re-enter serial numbers for your drones............they already have those from the initial registration.

after I sign in, I see 5 yr old address & current registration#;
it also tells me I have no inventory;
when I try to add my 2016 Phantom 4 Pro +
it tells me 14-character serial number invalid;
I have, of course, documents about to expire 12/12
& at worst will continue carrying them & explain
above as needed if ever confronted; am hobbyist...

I wonder if it will let you renew still showing no inventory? Since one registration number is good for multiple drones it shouldn't make any difference in renewals.

no, I get to this point, & can't go further:

"FAA Notice

Your inventory is empty.
To proceed, you must have at least one active device in your inventory."

That's wild. Since a renewal and an initial registration are the same cost, maybe try to 'start over' with a new registration for your drones. Only downside is that you'll have to re-label each one with a new registration number.

I got the same type of message when I renewed my registration back in September. In the past you did not have to carry an inventory for Recreational so I never entered the type of aircraft.

When adding to your inventory you enter the serial number of your aircraft not the registration number. I don’t recall the exact process, but there is an option to edit your inventory.

Hope this helps:

Go to FAADroneZone and login to your account.

From the next page select the Dashboard

The dashboard should show your current registration. Select Manage Inventory.

You can then Add to your inventory or Edit any existing items in your inventory.

When adding a device this screen appears.

Remember to logout and close the tab in your browser when finished.
