RTH problem

I fly a P3S. I experience a loss of accuracy with RTH. After I calibrate the compass, the accuracy is 2'. After a number of flights over several weeks the accuracy deteriorates to 20' and I after hit S1 to keep it from landing in a tree. After I calibrate the compass again, the accuracy is back to 2'. Is this normal?

I think the p3 at 2 feet is the exception. 10 feet is more normal for my p3. 20 feet is more extreme.
