RTH accuracy

GPS accuracy is, by definition, a probability distribution, with it’s center on the point of takeoff. The standard specification is better than 95% of the time, the next time you attempt to hit that spot, you will be inside a circle with a radius of 16 ft.

This accuracy is a system specification resulting from the combined errors of the clock accuracy’s of the satellites used, what their position is when the measurement is taken, the result of averaging over multiple results. The graph previously presented is a good way to conceptualize the issue. The only way to improve the drone accuracy is to take more averages which takes time, which is a big problem for something that moves fast, like a drone.
