Hi All,

I have never had to go back to a previous version of firmware. Now I would like to, and I don't know how. I assume I do it through Assistant 2 which I just downloaded to my desktop. The issue I am having is the bird will not connect to the computer. I plug the mini USB into the drone and the other end into my desktop. I wait for a few seconds and I get a pop up from ROXIO asking me if I want to download any pictures, etc. I click say no and it goes away. Then Nothing. So, how do I connect, and then I need to learn how to go back to a previous firmware which I believe should be 1.03.0509 (from another post). Thanks in advance for your help.
Steve

You can downgrade the firmware using the DJI Assistant 2 application like this. For firmware versions older than what is available in the DJI Assistant 2 application, you can install them like this.

Thanks for the reply. Here's what I did and what transpired...

I uninstalled ROXIO thinking it might be interfering with the hookup.
I followed the video from DJI which you supplied the link to.
When I fired up Assistant2 I was already logged in, so I unlogged myself and logged back in.
On Go4 it showed USB connected.... Still Assistant2 and the bird are not seeing each other.

Are you able to try this on a different computer?

I downloaded from a posters dropbox DJI Assistant 1.07.... He had the same issue I had and he said 1.07 would work. Well, he's right. Now my bird connects, but no firmware is listed to downgrade to. So why does 1.07 connect but 1.1.2_2 does not ?

Sorry I do not have another computer/laptop... All I have are a few Samsung Tabs and the iPad (plus the desktop I'm currently using)

When I installed the latest Assistant2 there were 2 driver files in the DJI Program/Assistant2 folder... I don't have the exact names as I uninstalled 1.1.2_2 to install 1.07. They were something like driver64bit.bat and driver32bit.bat. Another posted said to run the appropriate file which I did. That did not work. They are not in the Assistant2 1.07 which I currently have installed. I could uninstall 1.07 and install 1.1.2_2 again as they were in that Assstant2 folder. But, as I said I tried running the 64 bit driver... no workie !!! Since my bird does connect with 1.07 I'm thinking about leaving that installed and trying the Dumldore tool. (I have 1.03.0509 bin file)

Also, I have thoughts about my 4Pro becoming a brick by using the Dumldore tool (Never used it). Like my dad always said, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
