Remote to iPad ?

New user...currently using an iPad Air to view the P3S. I am not connecting a cable from remote to the ipad. Should I be using a cable? Just wasn't sure if it worked better or if it wasn't necessary. Thanks.

Th P3S connects to the remote controller using Wi-Fi. It's not possible to use a cable like the P3A/P3P.
