I am thinking of buying a PV2 with Zenmuse gimbal. I read a
review that said the GoPro wifi is not compatible with the PV2.
It said that the wifi would interfere with the PV2 and cause it
to crash. Any truth to that statement?

Thanks

Both the Phantom 2 controller and the GoPro wifi use 2.4Ghz signals. I've heard that using the GoPro wifi while flying can cause the P2 to momentarily ignore the control signals at various intervals.

You can get 5.8Ghz video transmitter/receiver systems to get around this issue.

But its a p2v not a p2.

Ah, sorry, I missed that detail. The original P2 uses 2.4Ghz (as does the P1) for the controller. The P1/FC40, P2V, and P2V+ use 5.8Ghz for the controller.

In that case, using the GoPro wifi ought not to be an issue. There will be a range issue, but there are work-arounds for that as well (wifi extenders with directional antennas).

However, if you're not planning to use the P2V camera, why get it in the first place?
