Prop guards won't remove

I got prop guards for my P4 pro + from DJI. The go on very easily with the plastic tab making a nice little "click." But they are almost impossible to remove. The tab that clicks doesn't seem to push in enough to release them. I have to wrestle them around and yank to get them to release. Has anybody else had this problem? Any solutions?

Most go into the light tab (removed) on the end of the arm. A tiny flat screwdriver inserted behind the tab will release the lock.
