Possible to connect USB directly to Naza 2?

Is it possible to connect via USB directly to the Naza 2 controller in a Phantom 2 and use the Naza Assistant software rather than Phantom Assistant software? I'm asking because my gimbal is slightly askew and the Naza Assistant software lets you tweak the pitch/roll of the gimbal position. Thanks for any help!

Actually the USB is directly connected to the Naza via the LED labeled port.

The Naza in a Phantom is 'special' and must use the Phantom 2 Assistant.

Ugh. Well that sucks. I'm gonna try some of the solutions people have recommended on here, but none of them seemed to work 100% of the time. May be time for the ol' pliers!

Yea, good lock to you. I can't help much with gimbal issues.

Here are a couple of videos about that:

Note that you don't have to unplug the ribbon cable like the one guy does.
And you do need to use Loctite or superglue to secure the joint once you align it.
