Phantom w/gopro hero 3 not working

First of all I just got this bird it's got blue stripes model #P33OZ and I don't know what model this Phantom is.
When I turn on the unit it goes through set up Gimbal on the go pro Hero 3 set's up. A little off position pointing down but it goes through set up. After a series of beeps the front, (the lights on the striped end) stop illuminating and rear lights turn to a yellowish color and it wont connect. Moving the unit the gimbal follows movement correctly. Unit has no signs of a crash or hit's. Where to start diagnoses ? I'm trying a P3 controller, and a P2 still no link up. HELP

you have a phantom 2 {non vision} the beeping just tells you its starting up. than it should have all lights blinking diferent colors when the front lights stop flashing and the rear ones flash yellow it is in ready to fly atti mode when you start the motors the front ones should light up again. if the back lights start flashing green it is in ready to fly GPS mode. Are you using combination stick control when you try to start the motors?

Are you using a pin in the hole to link the drone and remote?

I'm going to try the pin hole reset. How do I differentiate a P2 standard or a vision?

The standard has the model number p330z that's how I know it's a standard.
