Hi there! Does the screen for the phantom 4 pro plus have internet/browsing capability? and is it based off android etc.? or is it its' own software

It is based on Android and an Internet browser app comes pre-installed.

Welcome screen --> Upper left settings (gear icon) -->upper right All Applications
Don't forget to turn on your wifi, Welcome screen --> Upper left settings (gear icon)-->System settings

I'm assuming you can uninstall the browser but can you add/install additional apps?

You can add apps but it is limited I believe. You can add amazon, and use it to add some apps like litchi.

It comes with a built in browser that you can't disable or uninstall. You can install 3rd party apps via Amazon App Store if you update to the latest firmware.....
